About Us

Established in 1986, our practice has proudly served the Ranson, WV community for over three decades. With a rich history and commitment to quality veterinary care, we specialize in the health and wellness of cats and dogs, and have recently expanded our expertise to include small ruminants. Our clinic combines a rural, close-knit atmosphere with easy access to historic sites and larger urban areas, making it a unique and special place to care for your pets.

Our Mission

To work together, as a team, to provide outstanding care to our patients while applying sound ethical and moral principles to our business.

Our Commitment to You and Your Pet

In September 2019, Dr. Nikki P. Piper became the owner of Apple Tree Animal Clinic, bringing fresh energy and a strong commitment to ethical, compassionate care. With a background that includes a B.S. in Animal Science from The Ohio State University and a DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Piper has years of experience in mixed-animal care, including time spent practicing in Eastern Montana.

As a mother, wife to a farmer, and owner of goats, cows, cats, and dogs, Dr. Piper knows firsthand the dedication required for exceptional animal care. Her passion for veterinary medicine and deep ties to the community are at the heart of our practice’s mission to provide the highest level of personalized care for every pet.
